Reverse Confetti: Triangle Trees

October 19, 2018

Hello crafty friends! I have two cards up on the Drive By Crafts Blog using the Reverse Confetti: Triangle Trees Stamp Set. My cards today are bright and cheery, just what Christmas is all about!

For my first card, I stamped my trees in colors (aqua, green and bright pink) that were used in the Doodlebug Design: Milk & Cookies 6x6 Paper Pad. Once I stamped my trees, I cut them out. The shape of the trees makes it really easy to cut them out by hand. Next, I added a piece of white cardstock down the middle of my patterned paper. I stamped my sentiment directly onto my middle panel and popped my trees up with American Crafts: Sticky Thumb Dimensional Adhesive. My card came together rather easily as the Fun stamps did all the work.

On my next card, I stamped my trees in Rainbow colors! Why not, right? I began by stamping the green and yellow trees first in the center of my panel. I used my My Sweet Petunia: Original MISTI to help line everything up and get a good impression. Next, I added the orange and aqua trees and went out from there completing my rainbow pattern. I added my sentiment to the center of my panel and once again mounted it on a piece of pattern paper from the Doodlebug Design: Milk & Cookies 6x6 Paper Pad. To finish my card, I added Doodlebug Design: Sprinkles in a variety of colors.

I hope you enjoyed my cards today!! I appreciate you stopping by and I will be back next Friday with two more Christmas cards- Tis' The Season!

Create Along With Us

Papertrey Ink

October 17, 2018

Good Morning Friends! I think I may have said this before, but the Create Along With Us challenge at Papertrey Ink is one of my favorites!! The Papertrey Ink Design Team is Amazing (in my opinion) and every release is Full of Wonderful ideas and projects!! The hardest part is deciding what card or project I want to use for my inspiration.

This month, I used this card by Dawn McVey: My Favorite Things. I loved the way she added the strip of cardstock to the center of her frame to change the look.

So for my card I wanted to use this same idea. I began by die cutting the Papertrey Ink: Bold Borders, Yuletide Die in both white and pale blue cardstock. Next, I added 2 1/2 inch strip down the center of my frame. I love how this gives me another option (look) for this frame die.

Next, I used the Papertrey Ink: Spruce & Sprigs Stamp and Die set for my greenery. Before everything was attached to my card front I stamped my sentiment in black ink.

Yesterday, while I was finishing up my cards I had stopped by Instagram and Dawn had posted a Gorgeous picture of some holly she was stamping with gold Nuvo mousse around the edges. Well...my holly needed some sparkle too!! So to finish up my card I used a glue pen and added some super fine glitter to the edges of my holly and my berries.  I love the added sparkle!!

Thanks Dawn for all the Inspiration!! Will you be playing along with the Papertrey Ink: Create Along With Us challenge this week? I can't wait to see what you create...

It is another busy week here, though I wouldn't want it any other way! Our youngest daughter will be coming home on Friday for a quick little visit- so excited to have her home for a few days!! Anyways, let's get onto the purpose of your visit-my card:

Today, I have a card for both the MFT Stamps Color Challenge and the CASE this sketch challenge. I combined both the colors and the sketch for my card.

I started my card by stamping, coloring and die cutting the cute skiing bear from the MFT Stamps Ski-sons Greeting stamp set. Next, I used the MFT Stamps Stitched Circle STAX to cut my circle in Blu Raspberry cardstock. My mountains are from the Lawn Fawn Stitched Mountain Border die and they are cut in Wild Wisteria cardstock. I stamped my sentiment on a Gravel Gray strip and backed it with a Limelight strip helping to tie all the colors together. I assembled my card following the Sketch from CASE this Sketch.

Jane's Doodles: Winnie Halloween

October 12, 2018

Happy Friday Friends!! Today I have a post up on the Drive By Crafts Blog. This week, I am using the darling stamp set, Jane's Doodles: Winnie Halloween stamp set to create a couple of Fun Halloween cards.

For my first card, I stamped the adorable witch, cat, and pumpkin in a row on my white cardstock. I used orange ink and stamped the trick or treat stamp across the bottom. I used My Sweet Petunia: Original MISTI to do my stamping so I could a good impression and move my paper to line up my sentiment across the bottom of my panel. Once I had everything stamped I used Copic Markers to do all my coloring. Next, I trimmed my panel down and mounted it on some Halloween paper from the Doodlebug Design Inc: BooVille 6X6 Paper Pad.

For my next card, I used the smaller images from the Jane's Doodles: Winnie Halloween Stamp Set to stamp all over my card front. Then, I colored all the images in with Copic Markers. I trimmed down my card front and mounted it on an A2 card base. Next, I used the Avery Elle: Wonky Scalloped Frames Die Set to make a black frame for my sentiment. I cut an inside piece with the same frame and stamped my sentiment. Lastly, I added a few candy corn stamped images and colored them too. I mounted my sentiment on my card front to finish my card.

Thanks for stopping by today!! I hope you have a Wonderful weekend!!

Papertrey Ink: Make It Monday

October 11, 2018

Good Morning!! I hope you all are having a Wonderful week!! Today, I have a couple of cards for the Papertrey Ink: Make It Monday challenge. Ashley Newell from Paper Suite has a great video up on the blog showing us how to add a pattern to a frame die cut.

On my first card, I began by using the Background Basics: Birch Stamp Set. I stamped the birch pattern on a piece of white cardstock and used the frame die from the Make it Market All Through the House kit. Next, I created a scene using the stamps and dies from the Make it Market Wonderland kit. I centered my scene in the middle of my frame and attached it to my card front.

For my next card, I used the new Make it Market Fairy Tale Christmas kit. I just received my kit in the mail and I couldn't wait to use it!! Betsy is truly amazing and thinks of every detail when she is designing these kits.

I began my card by creating my frame. I then stamped the trees (in the background) and all the little adorable images. Once I had everything stamped I assembled my focal image. I mounted it on a piece of neutral paper that was included in the kit. Next, I stamped my sentiment. I mounted my sentiment on my card panel and wrapped a piece of velvet ribbon across the top. The ribbon is from the accessory kit. I then layered my frame piece on top with foam adhesive.

I hope you enjoyed my cards today!! Did you order the new Make it Market kit from Papertrey Ink? I am looking forward to seeing what everyone creates with it!!

Most everything I used today came from one of the Make It Market kits...but, please ask if you have a specific question and I will do my best to answer it.

October 10, 2018

Hello Friends! I hope you are having a great week!! I am participating in the Ellen Hutson Essential Challenge today. This is my first time participating, but when I saw the sketch I wanted to give it a try! I used the Concord & 9th: Deck The Halls Turnabout stamp set that I ordered from the Ellen Hutson online store.

I started by stamping my background. I followed the directions for using a Turnabout stamp. The colors I used are: Papertrey Ink- Pure Poppy, MFT- Cement Gray, Gina K- Sea Glass and Grass Green. Once I had my background stamped I cut my panels to follow the sketch.

I mounted my stamped pieces onto a pieces a white cardstock. Next, I used the Concord & 9th: Merry & Bright Stamp Set for my sentiment. I stamped my sentiment with VersaMark ink and added white embossing powder. I used the MFT Stamps Stitched Circle STAX to cut my sentiment circles. To finish my sentiment I used the little Holly Jolly die from Papertrey Ink and added a little holly accent.

I hope you enjoyed my Christmas card today! Thank You for stopping by.
