MFT Stamps

Sketch Challenge

February 21, 2019

Good Morning!! I have been busy the last few days creating cards and getting caught up with some exciting things that I will share soon!! Yesterday, I took a break and created a card just because...I had been wanting to use the MFT Stamps: Cutieasaurus stamp set again and the Sketch Challenge seemed like the perfect opportunity.

I started my card by stamping and coloring my images with Copic Markers. I then used the Cutieasaurus Dies to die cut all of my images.

For my card design, I followed the layout of the sketch.

I used the patterned paper from the Sweet Celebration Paper Pack. I mounted my patterned paper onto a piece of Sour Apple Cardstock for my vertical accent. For my horizontal paper I used Blue Raspberry cardstock. Next, I stamped my sentiment onto a Sour Apple banner and attached that to my card front. Lastly, I added my images with foam adhesive to complete my card.

Darling Dragonflies

Pretty Pink Posh

February 18, 2019

Good Morning! I hope you all had a Wonderful weekend!! We had a nice relaxing weekend at home...just what we needed. Today, I have a card for Pretty Pink Posh using the Darling Dragonflies stamp set.

I started my card by stamping my dragonflies from the Darling Dragonflies stamp set with a Copic friendly ink. I then colored the dragonflies in rainbow colors using both a light and medium shade of each color. Next, I used the Darling Dragonflies Coordinating Dies to cut out my images.

For my card front, I used the Stacked Edges 1 die set. I cut out the wave design from my card front. I then cut out the same wave design from a piece of black and white polka dot patterned paper. I inlaid the black and white piece back into my card front to give a clean/flat design. Next, I used the Everyday Greetings stamp set for my sentiment.

To finish my card, I attached my dragonflies to my card front with foam adhesive. Lastly, I added jewels from the Party Jewels Mix to give my card a little "sparkle".

Happy Monday!

Papertrey Ink

February 17, 2019

Good Morning! Today, I have a set of cards for the Papertrey Ink: Win It Wednesday challenge. This is a new challenge to PTI and my first time playing along. Laurie Schmidlin is the host and this week she asked us to use our favorite PTI colored cardstock. My favorite cardstock...this definitely might change with the season, but today I am thinking Spring and choosing Aqua Mist.

Papertray Ink is having a sale right now, so I picked up a few stamps and dies that have been on my wishlist! It is a great time to shop!! I started my card by using the Frame It Out: Many Blessings Die. I die cut the wreath shape from a piece of white cardstock. I also bought the Gorgeous stamp set that coordinates with this die, though I love how you can use it alone too.

Next, I used the Penned Elegance stamp set to stamp my sentiment. The sentiments in this set are a beautiful script writing and they coordinate perfectly with the wreath. To finish my card, I attached my card panel to my A2 card base.

On these two cards, I used Mint Julep and Lilac Grace cardstock and ink. Such a quick and easy card to put together, but I am really happy with how they turned out. I will be making a few more with different sentiments as my card supply is getting low.

Supplies:
Stamp Set: Papertrey Ink- Penned Elegance
Die: PTI- Frame It Out, Many Blessings
Paper: PTI- Aqua Mist, Mint Julep and Lilac Grace
Ink: PTI

Enjoy your day,

Meant To Bee

MFT Stamps

February 16, 2019

Happy Saturday Friends! I am sharing a card today for the MFT Stamps: Sketch Challenge. As soon as I saw the sketch on Wednesday I knew what I wanted to do...love when that happens!! I pulled out my Meant To Bee stamp set and got busy (as a bee). The bees were delivered to our almond orchard last week so it seemed even more fitting to use this fun stamp set!

I started my card my using the MFT Stamps Cloud Stencil for my background. I love this stencil and use it a lot! For my ink blending I used Distress Oxide Ink in Mermaid Lagoon. I spritzed my background with water and set it aside to dry.
Next, I stamped my images, colored with Copics, and die cut with the coordinating dies. Then, I used the MFT Stamps: Stitched Circle STAX to die cut my circles from my background (following the sketch).
For my grass, I used the Lawn Fawn: Meadow Border die. I attached this to my card and added a piece of white cardstock for my sentiment. Lastly, I attached my images to my card front with foam adhesive.

To finish my card, I mounted my card panel onto an Orange Fizz mat before attaching it to my A2 card base.

Supplies:
Stamp Set: MFT Stamps- Meant To Bee
Dies: MFT Stamps- Meant To Bee, Stitched Circle STAX, Lawn Fawn- Meadow Borders
Other: MFT Stamps- Cloud Stencil

Beautiful Blessings

MFT Stamps

February 15, 2019

Happy Friday! I hope you all had a Wonderful Valentine's Day!! I am on the Butterfly Reflections, Ink blog today with a set of cards using lots of products from MFT Stamps. I am using the sentiments in the MFT Stamps: Beautiful Blessings Stamp Set and the MFT Stamps: Beautiful Blessings 2 Stamp Set. These sentiments are perfect for showing your love and support to your friends and family that might need a little bit of encouragement.

I started my card by die cutting the MFT Stamps: Heart Tree from my white cardstock panel. I then mounted a piece of pastel green cardstock behind my die cut tree for the leaves. Next, I mounted my card front onto my A2 pastel colored card bases. I used Gina K Design Connect Glue for all of my glueing. The liquid glue allowed me a little time to get everything lined up, had a great hold, and can get into small detailed areas. Then, I die cut my tree trunk and three hearts from the same Heart Tree Die. I inlaid these pieces back into my card fronts.

Lastly, I began to work on my sentiments. I cut a piece of white cardstock to 1 x 4 in and stamped my sentiment onto the strip. My sentiments are from the Beautiful Blessings and the Beautiful Blessings 2 stamp set. I then mounted my sentiment strip onto a coordinating 1.25 x 4 piece of cardstock.

I hope you enjoyed my cards today. I think they will come in handy when I need to send a card with a heartfelt message.

Enjoy your day,
Dana

Technique Tuesday

February 12, 2019

Good Morning!! I hope your week is going well! I was so happy to see the new Sally & Sherman the Skunks Stamp and Die Set in my mailbox yesterday. It is part of the New Release at Technique Tuesday and so Cute! I love the sentiments!!

I started my card by stamping and coloring my images from the Skunk stamp set. I then used the Sally & Sherman Crafting Dies to die cut my images.

For my card layout, I used the Pretty Pink Posh Scallop Circles Die Set to cut out my circle and frame. Next, I stamped my sentiment on a label from the Essential Stitched Labels Crafting Dies. This a great set of dies with lots of little extras!! I also love how it adds a little extra detail to a sentiment! I mounted this onto a soft pink cardstock that had been embossed with a polka dot embossing folder.

Next, I mounted my card front onto a green mat. To finish my card, I attached everything to an A2 card base.

Supplies:

Thanks again for stopping by! Please feel free to ask any questions and I will do my best to answer them. I am playing a little catch up after being gone a few days last week.

Enjoy your day,

With Love

Pretty Pink Posh

February 11, 2019

Happy New Week!! I hope you all had a Great weekend!! We were in DC for the weekend visiting our daughter, Meredith. It was Senior Parent's Weekend at Georgetown, lots of fun, food and just visiting!! Always good when we get to be together!! And it is hard to believe she is a senior and will be graduating in a few months...exciting times for sure!

Today, I have a set of Valentine's Day cards using lots of products from Pretty Pink Posh. I started my card by making an alcohol ink background. I used Poppyfield, Wild Plum, Amethyst, and a little Gold Mixative to create my background.

Once this was dry, I used the Pretty Pink Posh: With Love Shaker Die to cut out my heart from the center of my background and create a window. I attached a piece of acetate paper underneath the window and surrounded the heart with foam adhesive.

I then filled the heart with the Valentine Jewels Mix. To finish my heart, I attached a white heart that was die cut using the same With Love Shaker Die back into the open space. Next, I stamped my sentiment from the Simple Sayings: Courage Stamp Set in VersaMark Ink and then heat embossed it in gold embossing powder before attaching it to my card front.

I had all the pieces cut so I went ahead and created the same card with a white background. To give my white background a little added detail, I ran it through my die cut machine with a polka dot embossing folder, before I created my shaker.

This time, I filled my shaker heart with the Sugar Plum Jewels Mix and the Sugar Plum Confetti Mix. These confetti mixes are just Gorgeous! I once again, used gold embossing powder on my sentiment to give it a little sparkle! This set of sentiments are perfect when you need the right words for a friend who might be going through a difficult time.
