Pink & Main Blog Hop

Let's Celebrate!

March 20, 2019

I am so excited to be participating in the Pink & Main Blog Hop today! It is their 5th Birthday and they are having a Celebration!

For my first card, I used the Party Balloons stamp and die set. I stamped my balloons in bright colors and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. Did you know the Pink & Main dies are bright pink? How fun is that?

On my card front, I used the confetti stamps to make a border around my card edge. Next, I used my scoring board to score my balloon strings onto my card front. For my sentiment, I used the Celebrate stamp and die set. I love the font and size of this word die!

For my next card, I stamped my balloons across the top of my card panel. I then stamped and die cut one balloon to attach to my card front with foam adhesive. I stamped my sentiment directly onto my card panel, keeping everything fairly clean and simple.

I can't wait to see what everyone else created today!!

  11. Dana, your cards are so colorful, wonderful, and fantastic! Did you use a tool to make the balloon strings or is that really, really thin paper strips? (I just went back and re-read it and using your scoring board is a great idea! Did you pencil in the lines since it looks like you did it on the back of the panel so the lines would pop up?!) I love all the colors! I wish I knew you and it was my birthday so I could get this card(s) in the mail!
    Fantastic fifth birthday cards!

    1. Thank you so much Liz!! You are so sweet! In all honesty, I had planned to use a thin black marker and a straight edge to make my balloon strings. I tried a few times and I couldn't get the lines straight or looking good (I threw away three or four backgrounds). So, that is when I decided to use my scoring tool. I just layed my balloons about where I wanted them on my card panel and scored the lines down from there. Once I had my lines scored, I attached my balloons. I hope that helps and please let me know you have any other questions.

    2. Also, I scored on the front of the card first (for placement) then I just flipped my panel over and scored in the same place on the back of the panel so my lines would be going out. I should of photographed this step...sorry about that.
